Nurturing India's Next-Gen Problem Solvers

Flagship Initiative

What is Smart India Hackathon?

Smart India Hackathon (SIH) is a nationwide initiative by the Ministry of Education's Innovation Cell (MIC) to provide students with a platform to solve some of the pressing problems we face in our daily lives, and thus inculcate a culture of product innovation and a mindset of problem-solving.

Students get to address digital and hardware challenges posed by various Central & State Ministries, Departments, Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), and private organizations.

Internal Round

CITNC Campus Selection

Before participating in the national grand finale, all teams must compete in the campus-level selection round on 27 August, 2026. Hosted by the **Institution's Innovation Council (IIC)**, we review submissions based on innovation value, technical feasibility, and societal utility.

Only the top designated teams will be nominated by our institutional SIH Coordinator to represent CITNC Bengaluru on the national SIH portal.

Location: CITNC, BengaluruUnder IIC Umbrella
